LoudRed, good to hear your trip down south worked out for you and you got your trailer and bike. Paragon did close but are open on weekends. It won't be long before they completely shut it down.....
Goodeye, don't think I will be able to go Sunday. Delivered the quad yesterday and all my buddy's machines are down so I have nothing to ride. Enjoy what could be your last trip there. Anyway we could ride at the resevoir up by you? I remember going up into Smoke Rise once and riding down onto the roads there. Was pretty good riding...

So you guys don't ride back there at all? If I remember correctly, when we stayed closer to Smoke Rise we didn't see anyone. But over by the railroad tracks and such is where we saw other vehicles (Jeeps, quads,etc...)
I just got some prices on a new machine. Still have some places to go look at, but am deciding on whether the Foreman 500 or the new Rancher 420 ES with fuel injection. I will probably be getting another one after my taxes come back. Even if we went into Smoke Rise and rode the trails around there, IIRC there was a lot of mud back in that part. At least that way we wouldn't be out in the open, like by those railroad tracks.
they patrol those trails on the same machines you ride, if you can get there, so can they, donating a quad to them is not my idea of fun. they most likely know the trails better than we do, a simple matter of being there more than we are..... Had my old chevy up there, went in at green pond, came out god know where, but man was there some mud that day.
a lot of things changed on 9 11, brought a new level of protection to our water supply, good for the water, bad for the riders .......... Paragon selling is just another example of a nice chunk of woods getting ruined by a developer, why they can't go in and rebuild on worn torn broken areas is beyond me.
Very true man, its the same down in Manchester Twp. in south Jersey, where I went a few times. It was a huge lot of sand and a lake, nothing really there. Now there are going to be over 500 homes or something built there.
Mike Paragon is not seling. They are in a legal battle to keep the land. It is a nasty battle over a corrupt government in the town.
On a side note when are we going to get together at hooters again?
