N TX Chapter Meet - Nov.
Well James had no issue with taking me to love. Got there in time to catch a 2 hour earlier flight. He did ask for a bottle for having to travel into dallas.
I can't wait to get my tranny back. He played a little with his tonight and buddy this is gonna be a long week. Especially since I gotta pimp the dmax.

It's going to be a long week. Especially cause I'm taking a girl on a date on monday and she's in love with MY truck (she drives a 97 12v 4x4 5spd cummins) but I gotta pick her up in the dmax. Told her I'd make it up to her though when I got it back.
Upside to this is I get to take dad's car to the wedding party tomorrow. Albeit dirty but I think I'll survive.

Right now, it's not looking good.
Not sure I'm going to be around at all next weekend. So it looks like the time slot is all yours Ryan.
Although I do reserve the right to reclaim it if necessary.

Y'all be sure to leave enough time after the dyno to hang at Robert's place... he's working like a coolie this week to get it cleaned up in time (although I don't understand what's wrong with all the beer cans, pizza boxes and lace underthingys strewn about
)
)
OK folks, time is getting near. If you're coming to my place Friday, PM me for direction. If you're going to Robert's on Saturday, PM him for direction to his place and the Texas Roadhouse.
I suggest that we (those who are not going to the dyno) meet at Texas Roadhouse at 12 NOON on Saturday. That will give a little more time for the dyno boys to get back from Emory cause you know they will not make it back by 11:30. Then we can meet at the Parking lot of TX Roadhouse. There is plenty of room in the parking lot or adjacent shopping center parking lot.
After our fill of steak and such....then I suggest that we all caravan up to Charlie's place in Sedalia for an afternoon of good times, good wrenchin', and good liquid refreshment.
If you really want to come to my place, that is fine. But my garage is a total disaster. Between working 12 hour days this week and running some other errands there is no way I will have my house in the shape I planned on it being in for the meet. Also, the field behind my house is very saturated so that really isn't an option to park on right now.
Charlie suggested Sedalia and I think that will be the best option for everybody....particularly for the heavier drinkers in the group. (cough cough, Ryan, Sir Crown...cough cough).
So please, let's all caravan up to Sedalia with a stream of a dozen or more Smokey Cummins powered Dodge Trucks, after a delicious noon time meal. It's a short 20 mile ride in the countryside. Agreed??
I just want to take an opportunity to really publicly thank XLR8R (Mike) for his tremendous help this past weekend!!!!
Mike, Thanks so much for coming over to my house and welding on my ATV motor. And Thanks again for helping me sort through all the problems on my furnace. You spent probably a total of 15-18 hours of your own time and in some cases using your tools and welder helping me get it straightened out. I cannot thank you enough or express my appreciation to you for not giving up. My weekend was shot and I didn't get any thing else accomplished that I planned.....but you were a life saver helping me with those 2 things.
I owe you, big time! What a Pal!

It looks like Sadelia is a go. For those that haven't been there, remember it's primitive camping for those staying overnight. Running water and electricity is about it.
We also got over three inches of ran up there over the weekend. It will dry out quite a bit before Friday, but parking will be restricted to one area.
Don't forget to bring your drinks and what ever else you want to munch on. Saturday, we'll decide on something for Saturday night and Sunday.
I don't know what wrenching we'll do, but I'll have bottle jacks, jack stands, air compressor, sawsall, angle drill and an assortment of tools.
Some of you may remember Boots. He's they guy that came by with his GF and sat around the fire for awhile last year. A few weeks ago he bought a pretty rough '01, 4X2. I told him if he would bring it by, maybe we could give him a few tips on what to do to get it running better............besides the gages I already told him he needs to get first.
Any directions, info or whatever, PM me.
