Eventually, it's coming. But the stocker is holding level 9 for the time being! No sign of any problems yet.

Brian, I am so happy for you to have that horrible experience behind you. May you never have to go thru that again!!

How do you know?

I really believe it has more to do with how you drive it than how much actual "power" you are putting thru it. Don't get me wrong, I know it needs to be upgraded. But some people can break a stocker with no mods if they abuse it. Others (like me), may be able to run a while on bigger power with no problems if driven sensibly. I guess time will tell.

Yup. That's how I made mine live so long. It's alright to play with the power but definately don't abuse the power you have. That's when parts start breaking. Told ya this stuff was addicting.

If you don't put your foot down... it's not really on #9, is it?
Kind of like a tree falling in the woods and no one there to hear it..... Therefore, did it really fall??
(nevermind).

Run By any NAPA or parts store and have them measure it for you. I know they will have a mic.......

Very good point Rowland!! And I don't put the foot down, at least not until the truck is already rolling. (well...most of the time anyway ) Im not just worried about the tranny either. I keep an eye on the FP gauge too, because it will definately pull it down close to zero.

I just started reading more of the 3rd Gen Info. That Smarty is really hot ! Dan tells me guys are stacking them on TST's equally hot box... 170 hp each?? WOW! Instant 575 hp+, without injectors.... but no FP?? Does the FASS 200 gph solve that problem?

Wish it was that easy. The 3rd gens are very touchy about how you set everything up. What works on one truck will almost certaintly not work on another. I've ridden in a 6spd dually 3rd gen with the smarty on 9 and he spun the rear tires all the way into 4th just by flooring it from a roll in first gear.

Just installed the new steering bushing. Fit in there like a glove. I haven't driven it yet but I'll let yall know. I also calibrated the APPS by actually testing voltages. Haven't driven it yet but went from .450 volts to the recommended .584. I'll let yall know how that works.

What do ya know. 10,500 posts.
