Pray for some better weather than last year at this time. Last year on July 14th we were trying to find shade at the back of the ranch while we were sweating our <insert body part here> off. Not much work was done that weekend, just a lot of discussions about the heat.
My apologies...I'll attempt be a creant in this thread.

Hmmm, I'm torn whether to go there or to a roping that weekend in Hamilton, either way I guess my trailer will be hooked up. Just got my new brake controller, I'll be jumping to get it hooked up tomorrow night if I'm not dog tired from working all day. I figured I'm here, I got stuff I could do at work, I didn't get to go rope, I don't have much else to do, so I'll go make some money.
Mike and I (and our sons) had dinner tonight and I have ordered a SSSSS from him. The name will probably change as it will be built from regular steel and powdercoated instead of Stainless. This is a really nice piece that incorporates the "drop block" into the stabilizer. Should work at least as well as the DSS brace and maybe better with the added benefit of the drop.
I also spoke with Don Thuren about his Track Bar. I am giving that some more thought, but im letting Mike do some checking on another idea first. We may just go ahead and drill my stocker out, and insert a new bushing of some sort there. If that idea is workable, it may be a better way to go than buying a whole new track bar.
I am also considering a Fox Stabilizer shock set up. With those 3 things, I feel like my "popping" etc. will be a thing of the past and tighten up all my steering/front end problems once and for all.
If there is any time left over for wrenching while at Alvarado....that will be my project.

I wouldn't. No personal experience, but those whose opinion I respect don't seen to think much of them, for the price!

I'll be replacing my LazarSmith 'Drag Bars' with Lazar Bars when we get to Alvarado! And maybe changing out tires (if I have room to bring them) for the 'Burn Out' Contest.

I don't see the benefit of upgraded steering dampeners on street driven trucks... unless you're dealing with DW, in which case you're better off correcting the problem instead of treating the symptom.
Burnout Contest?
Makes me want to get the line-lock finished in time for that - then I won't have to heel/toe the pedals!
