July Gateway Chapter and GODA summer BBQ
Greetings to all!
We are going to meet in St James @ my place on the 17th of July. Those wishing to make a weekend out of the gathering are more than welcome to come and camp ... I have plenty of room for all .... if you wish to bring a rig ... you will be dry camping ... I have a couple of generators available to power up a couple of campers. I have a dump station you can use as well.
This will be a pot luck BBQ so we need to organize who is bringing what. We have a month to put this together. I don't have a great abundance of chairs ... so that would be a good thing to bring!
Anyone want to be the food and beverage organizer?

I-44 West to Exit 195 ..... make right at the end of the ramp .... go to first light make right .... follow road past the wineries ... the road curves to the left ... make the first right on CR1000 ... we are 1 mile down the road on the left ...

Thanks for having these meets.
I really enjoy the get togethers. Just wish it was closer. Maybe I need to move to your state!
I drove 185 miles for two free hambergers.
I realized on this road trip that my ' wire' is loose on the comp box!! Gotta fix that tomorrow. Sometimes it runs strong and then there is the boring power! Time to solder it.
On the drive home, at Troy Il, I hit a truck sized HOLE in the road. It really hit hard. i think the truck left the ground. Good thing is , there was no DEATH WOBBLE.
I have a DSS on it.

Had a great time at the get together. It was a long trip from east side of Illinois but well worth it. Wife and I both enjoyed ourselves. Very friendly group. Thanks again to j-fox and Mopar1 for inviting us. Will keep watch on this forum for the next one.

It was a good time even though the turnout was less than expected. It sure was nice to meet you and you wife Jim and also to see you again John. I think we will set something up at the park in Edwardsville next month if anyone is interested. Kinda like a preliminary to Scheid Extravaganza 2004.
