Has anyone gotten back with you CowboyDave about bein Pres?

 

Be careful what you volunteer for!

Being a chapter pres means long hours and low pay. Kinda like owning a bar......be there to keep everyone relatively sober, don't let people pour too much oil on the fire, make sure no one steals tools, oversee all wrenching while giving advise........and there is not one sole there who appreciates all the work you do.

Why don't some of you folks try to make it up here in Feb for one of the North Texas (non DTR) events. We'll be camping out...sleeping out...that Friday and/or Saturday night and go home Sunday around noon. Check it out here .

 

I went to the Alvarado event last year....wow tons of hp! Working weekends in Feb or I'd try to make it there.

 

Count me in (not as pres., but as a member)! I could use a support group (LOL)...

Cowboy Dave are you going to be our new pres? For us the president will organize our events... and thats about it, unless you guys can think of somthing else...

A little FYI...........

Up here, our organized events is trying to get together once a month. Most of the time, it's at my place in the country. Pretty primitive, but we make do and get a lot of wrenching done, along with a few brews, a little food and a lot of BSing. Since it's been cold, we have had two meets at bnolds shop down near Fairfield. Any time there is an event in the area, we try to make it. We've been to a bunch of dyno's and to the drag races a few times. Last year we went to Alvarado for the weekend and plan on doing it again next month.

I guess my point is, is that it does not have to be something special for us to get together. A half dozen, or so, of us have became very good friends. We all know that someone will be there when we have a problem or just need help with something. My truck and DTR has opened me up to some really good friends.

 

I will be comin up to Alvarado in Feb crobtex.... I have been talkin to Mike (XLR8R) and plan on meetin up with y'all up there.

Bodie sorry I didnt give you a haller last weekend when I was down that wedding, the old lady's ability to drag me to the mall and buy her things, and a little hunting I just forgot to give you a haller. I didnt know you and weston were cousins LOL hes one of pages cousins also small world.

 

I will go for Pres., But I might need some help with things. I dont really have the accommodations for a group gathering, anyone with some advice? If I can get some help Ill fill out the paperwork. Thanks guys, lets see if we can get this thing going.
