Great time for all!

Thanks Buck for the effort getting the event off the ground - looking forward to the next time. Diamond W is a fantastic facility!

Thanks Bobby (5E Diesel) for sponsoring the prize for the Burnout Contest... now TEAM XLR8R can't say we never won an event!

The sled team were a real nice bunch of guys, too.

Brian - thanks a bunch for being the backbone of our Pit Crew ... and thanks Rowland for letting us melt 17 and a half thousand miles off your drag tires!

Thanks to Robert for providing the overnight accomodations, Charlie for another batch of his world-famous chili, and of course to Evan for Co-Piloting!

p.s. hmm - feels like there should be a microphone in my hand...

October issue? (I don't think they've put me in any others ) In April I was coming out of Hastings and a guy stopped me and asked if that truck was in Diesel Power, that made my day. And then I don't know what she said but last week I noticed a girl wearing a Quadzilla shirt, looked like she was with her mom, in Wal-Mart. I was on my way out when I noticed. I got to my truck and started rolling out of the aisle I was on when I looked at the parking aisle across from me and saw her get the attention of the other person she was with (still assuming it was her mom, couldn't get a good look) and point at my truck, don't know if she recognized the truck from around town, the magazine, or just liked the truck in general. I'm starting to feel like my mom did when I was playing Little League, she was referred to as "Matt's Mom", I'm getting the feeling I'm being called, "The Guy With The (add adverb here) Maroon Flatbed"
Now that I've just pumped myself up, I'm going to see if I can fit my head through the door to take a shower.
BTW Congratulations again to Team XLR8R.

To see how big my head was or to someone who has said that? On the who has said that I have no evidence, but I did have a buddy of mine who works in a factory in Big Spring say a week after I took a tour through there say that he's had guys come up to him and say "You know that guy in that cool flatbed that was here the other day, right?". So I guess I have a material witness.
I'm running out of ego boosters now, I'd better quit and go to bed.
Better get started on a new thread pretty quick Charlie.

thanks for posting up the links! I look at the video of me now and laugh cause I didnt think I did all that well, but I guess for a totally stock truck, no boost build up, more PSI then needed and 4 Hi I certainly cant complain. Cant wait to do it again.

Might have to talk to mike about making some bars for me... Hmmm the ideas are flowing.

Brian you got me wanting stacks bud. Seeing all those trucks out there with them has really got me thinking hard about that idea.

hmmmm
