Excuses, excuses! You can't cancel your cruise and get a refund on your tickets, or maybe change the dates??? Or, why don't you just tell them you'll catch up with and take a flight out to the boat. I know that Frigate has a hilo pad.

I'm on an amphibious transport dock (LPD-7)...we have six spots for aircraft on our flight deck...maybe I can talk to the Captain tomorrow afternoon after we get underway and just be like "well, Sir...this is what I need. I need a flight off the ship at about 8am to drop me at my house in San Diego...I need a standby chopper sent in about 2pm to pick me up and have them send a CH-53 so that we can fly my truck back home, then bring me back to the ship...I won't even miss a full day's work!"

Seriously though, ya'll have a good time...I'll be thinking of ya'll while we're turning in circles off the coast about 50nm away!

 

I knew you could get it done. At least I'd get to see my tax dollars put to use for a good cause this time!
