Calling All Mn Members
I personally would like us to get together some time in the near future as kind of a "planning session" for this coming spring. MNTom and I wanted to find out what kind of activities everyone would be interested in. Bombing, Dyno, Drag, Camping, a trip to Tomah for the sled pulls, or whatever everyone wants. Our first meeting would basicly be for everyone to put a face with a name and get the ball rolling.
With that said, It's 5 below today and I think we can wait till it gets a little warmer than this to get together.

Anybody around here like ice fishing? I was thinking maybe that could be something to do to just get some guys together, like andy said, and just put a name to the face. Or, we could try and find a shop and do some bombing. Just throwin out ideas.
I am in Ontario but will be heading to Winnepeg Manitoba in the summer for a week. This will be my first long haul with the trailer. Minnesota is just south of there right? Post a date and location and I will try to make it down
Our dates are still flexible. The truck and trailer are new and I would love an opportunity to ask questions that I am sure to have by then.

Yea, I like to ice fish. my only problem is trying to figure out what kind of bait works for the bigger chunks of ice.
Anyhow, yes I do like to ice fish (really) and my auger has only drilled about 10 holes in its life. None of my sleds are running now. With my shoulder I can't pull the ropes to get them started. They have been sitting for about 3 years so it would take a lot of rope pulls. BTW, the newest one is an '85.

What about getting together at Hinkley just for the day to meet one another? It wouldn't be but a 1 1/2 hr drive at the most for anybody interested (except midwestdually sorry
). That way we could do some "heavy duty" planning or B.S.ing or what ever.

Where is Wolverton? So we have 3 trucks that need Dowel Pins taken care of. I am just planning on tabbing mine, unless we can get ahold of a jig. Doodah and manic_mechanic, could you post what you are planning on doing, jig or tab fix? If we are all going to tab, I can order the parts from Cummins, so we have enough tabs to go around
There is a Cummins dealer an hour or so away from me, so it isn't that big of deal. We should try and decide on a date to get together.

i'm 20 miles south of fargo, n.dak. i also don't care how it is fixed.
i was going to have a local hot-rod diesel shop do it this spring, but if we have a get together where a few of us are doing it that would be fine too.
a get together just to meet other members is fine with me also, as most of us don't have heated shops to work in. any excuse for a road trip. my buddy up here has an '03 so he won't need the kdp, but would come along to visit.
would there be a shop in the cities that would give our members a break on labor if we brought in a few trucks at one time?? maybe in exchange for some advertising ? just a thought.
i'm planning a snowmobile trip to wyoming end of feb. or beginning of march, otherwise i'm free any weekend. steve

Ok, here is my take on this. We are going to get together soon, to discuss a bigger event this summer (and bombing
), and also to put a name to the face. We also have 3 trucks so far that have KDP's that need to be taken care of, and maybe a 4th. I can probably get us into a heated shop with lots of tools, we would just have to slip the guy a couple bucks for heat. My neighbor might let us use his, also. The shop is in Rockford, MN, just west of the Twin Cities. IMO, since we are taking care of the KDPs, it would be nice to have a shop to work in, so maybe we could just meet around here? If we can find a shop to get into up in Hinkley, by all means lets take it, but to be honest, I HATE working with cold tools, and on cold trucks. I don't really want to put off the KDP until summer, and it would be nice if we could get MnTom to watch over (you already did yours, right?)
Anyway, that is just my input, but we should look at getting a date established. I am open EVERY Sunday.
