Alberta Chapter GTG, Dec 3, Red Deer
Hey Ray!
Thanks again for hosting the meet. Was a great change to actually have a warm place to hang out in instead of out in the cold like we usually do!
Great to meet the new members of the Alberta group as well as see the regulars.
Have to do this on a more regular basis instead of the once a year thing we do now.
Jeff

Glad to hear the meet was a chilling event, sorry but obviously I could not make it. Syncrude called for a 7!!! day deal and stayed 12 days got home this morning at 2:00 AM conveniently right after the get together. I agree that a summer meet would be kinda right on. Technically I was in Red Deer about 1:00 AM does that count, #2 South Mach 1. And as you can tell if you look at the time I wrote this still on night shift schedule. PK

Again, Thanks Ray and "Thru the Windsheild" for hosting the event.
MDKram, Ray and I all had a good chat for about 1 hour before the rest of the clan trickled in from the watering hole. Good to meet a couple new members to the group and see old friends again, lots of good information general BS.
All tolled we had about 8-10 trucks on site. Not a bad show. The DTW hemi crew didn't show so it was all Diesel!!!
Thanks Ray for the Burgers and Dogs and I am sure the younger generation were entertained with all the displays.
If you guys get a chance, pick up a copy of the magazine as its free in central Alberta. Good articles and photo shoots and I hear some possible big name interviews for next year.
Cheers...

Ok.. Lets start big, then narrow down.
I was thinking either Feb or March for a small meet in Red Deer again. Then I know the other J wanted to get a camping outting put together, so that one probably in July or August??
Thoughts??

I am putting a strongman comp on in Regina either May 7 or May 14.
Would not take much to expand to trucks and diesel ingesting.
We could even put the trucks into an event...
Most Ram trucks pulled by one human...maybe get it into Guiness Book of World Records.
