At our past rallies, we have used the one I have listed below. As I recall, I think Dennis (Rattlin Ram) stayed there. If you guys plan on staying there, I would call ahead for reservations.

Here is the information:

Cabin Creek Campground
3200 Highway 17
Jacsonville, N.C. 28546
(910) 346-4808

If your not able to get in here, let me know and I will list some more. This campground is about the closest to the dyno and dragstrip.

Thanks John. I called and left a message to reserve a spot for the camper. Looking forward to the event. Twins are installed. Still have a few more tweaks before the event. Hope I can break 250 or so on the dyno

The cost for the runs is the same as before. 2 runs $40.00 or 4 for $60.00 PLUS the best thing of all is John P. twisted my arm and is making me give away some shirts for FREE

Wayne:

I appreciate you helping us out not only with the sponsorship on the T-shirts but for your continued yearly support to us with your dyno! I know that the DTR Members here do also.

Tim and All Members Planning on Attending this Event:

Chris and I have planned a dinner get together at the "Hooters" Restaurant located in Jacksonville at 463 Western Blvd. (910) 346-9464 for Friday Night
(April 21) at about 5:30 P.M. We have scheduled it earlier, because of the heavy crowds we have encountered there in the past. Tim, if you want to give Chris or myself a call when you are close, we can order for you! Also, "Hooters" parking lot is pretty small, so we will be parking in a large "Food Lion" Parking Lot right behind "Hooters."

Hello
I still have a few final follow ups to get done, but other than that everything for the event is going great.

I managed to mess myself up some how. The doctor tells me I have a slipped disc between 6 and 7 vertebrate, which makes my index finger and middle finger numb and my right arm feels like it has a charle horse that won't go away. I have vicodin and naproxen and at night (hopefully Leigh Ann still can't get inernet out on ship) I drink 2 or 3 or 12 Coors light so I can get some sleep. Therapy and a MRI soon. I would not wish this on anyone.

I don't know if John brought this up or not but if so here it is again.
For Saturday the chow plan. We can talk about this saturday morning also, but the plain is to pass a hat and go pick up pizza and bring it to the shop.

I have a few details to work out with the race track and I will be posting that information soon.

Looking forward to seeing young and old friends again.
See Ya
Chris

Me again
I just went through the 8 pages of posts and have come up with the following numbers.
This is by no means binding, I am only trying to get an idea of how many folks are going to spin the rollers and race.
Name Dyno/Race
Goodys1ton 1
Dodgezilla 1
Timva 2
Dad 1
Tiger Rag 1
papasmurf 2/1
John_P 1/1
Banshee 1/1
Greenhornet1986 1
Masonic-dodge 1
Brett 03 Cobra 1

I am sure we will have allot more racers. I am waiting till after the event to install the new tires. I figure the worn out ones weigh less.

Those are the numbers I found while reading through this post, I am thinking we will have more, I work with a couple of fellas that drive 2500s with a little six cylinder engine that are talking about running the rollers, Another fella at work has a mid 80s Ford ranger with a diesel engine in it he may bring that out as well. It has a tiny turbo about the size of my fist.

I will catch up with Wayne this week and talk to him about how dyno will be run. There will be a post on that by the end of the week. John I'll be calling you as well, prior to posting.
I think I can post Wayne's web site with out getting in trouble, I am sure some one will let me know if I broke a rule.

Here is Wayne's website www.waynesdyno.net That way if you need directions or any information he can help you out. He's a die hard FORD guy but is a real good man.

Couple of more weeks to go.
See Ya
Chris

Chris:

Thanks for all your input. FYI,....Tom Wheeler (Coastal Hemi) over on Dodge truck World will be bringing his 06' Dodge Hemi Charger to run also, so we need to add him to our dyno list.
