Best of the night:

12.51@110.16mph (much room for improvement!)

My thoughts and observations on how things went at the track after I get some sleep. See yah tomorrow.

That's still faster than most! Just a little tuning and you're in the 11's.

Ok this may take a while so pull up a chair, grab a cold one and have a seat.

1st, every one knows I'm on stock street tires. Well, while on the gas the only way to get the full benifit is to pull the ABS fuse to get a better pull on the top end of around 113-114mph. Well, when I pull the fuse it also deletes any and all torque management. So there was no way for me to leave the line with any kind of boost or she'd just spin like crazy, so anything gained on the top of the track was totally outweighed in the loss of time in the 60ft.

So, put the fuse back in deal with the top speed limiter and see what she'll do, right?...................................Well, not exactly. You see, untill I used the gas last night I never really felt the torque management kick in. BUt holly cow did I ever feel it then. It almost feels like a over rich gass burner trying to bog at the line for a split second then it all comes in and she scoots. Then when it hits 2nd it would sometimes spin for about 10 feet. Sometimes more. sometime less, but it allways did spin a little at about the 100ft mark. And of course, with about 200ft of track left it would start laying down cause of the speed limiter/fuel cutoff.

This all at the track where is was a litle slower than usual, there wasn't much time for trying different launches or tunes, had more fuel than I normally do on race night, and I didn't pull the taligate, one of the batteries and spare tire which by itself usually gains me a full 10th at least.

SS, Gimme a holler when you plan to go to the track.
I'd love to watch, and heck, I could even turn the crank to lower that spare!

I only have to work 4 more Thursday nights .. then I'll be able to stay out as late as I want to. For now, I'm working 8pm-midnight.

Do you still have my cell #?

OK, I'll bet the slicks alone will put you into the 11's!

I'll have to pass on the midnight madness this time - but that would be great just about any other time.

My foot is hurtin too much to do much of anything tonight, and I have to get up early tomorrow to haul stuff over to my daughter's place for the "yard sale".

If not it would be dangerously close!!! With the problems I'm having rite now between needing the tq management on stock tires and not needing it on the top end, I'm loosing at least 3tenths in the 60ft and another 10th or so at the end of the track.

John, what would happen if you pulled the fuse while the truck was running? If there were no ill effects you could just put a switch on the dash and turn it off when you were at half track.

Hey, have I got story for you guys!!!!!! But sadly not a good one

Boy howdy, when it rains, it sure does pour!!!! Found out today after my debit card was denied at the filling station for $50 worth of #2 that some lame freakin' yahoo somehow got ahold of my card # and ran up $1300+ worth of charges, and overdrew the account by $450. Someone in Cali. flying to and staying in Mexico at a real nice hotel booked on Priceline.

Lukily the bank manager says I should get all of it back, however I had to cancell the current account, and open a new one. Which sucks bad cause now I have to resubmit all my direct drafts and deposits. Tomorrow I also have to call the credit bureaus and get them to flag my name for possible fraud. Hoping against everything that all they got was the card# and no other personal stuff.
