TRad....I love the SMARTY. I do not think I am getting the full benefits of it though, cause I still have that dam Banks Six Gun on the truck, and I have been to busy to take all the spliced wires loose. The Banks will be 4 sale before long....You can not turn the Banks off, so I can not see the difference in fuel mileage, but I love the power it adds, it gets the truck off the line like nothing I have ever seen, even on the second gen smarty I had when I had an 01.5...

I do not think the SMARTY will kill your tranny if you use sense when taking off, and acceleration. Yeha you can't floor it from a stop when the it is set to #9. You have to roll into it. The Banks on levels 3 and 4 with the SMARTY on level 5 or 7 is a rocket ship, but I still do not like the governing of the Banks....I have gauges, let me decide when to let out of it, not some dam box....

I surprised a Mustang GT the other night...Like I said, I can not launch like I want to due to deriving with sense, but he got his nose out in front, and all the way throught the next few blocks, that was all he got..I was pullin on him, almost to even, when we both let out due to red ight....I need to get my trans done, but I ain't got $3000 floating right now...

I talked to StreetSmoker, adn I am hoping to contribute to him breaking the 600 hp mark by letting him use the Smarty for a week or so. Maybe 575 is more realistic goal than 600, the 600 was my own number i through out there...

It will be about a month though cause he has a little excursion to go on..

 

streetsmoker, what psi should i shim my walbro too?remember i have the industrial injection cp3.i can set the return to let loose at 44psi, need opinion>

 

Do we get to do some installing of toys this weekend? I thought about going to the grandparents house but they are gonna be busy it looks like so im on if you are. Is the New Castle cold? I bet the walbro needs to be at least 30psi? What does industrial say?


Hey Streetwalker, when's that nitrous tank gonna be here?

 

Richard at GDP says 40-45psi on the W-392 to supply the stage 2 cp3's. Dang Karl with a "K" looks like I might have some competition comming into play with you.

Dmax, the bottle shipped monday, and looking at the tracking invoice,I'd say tomorrow or Fri. it should be there.

 

What do you want to install?

I have urethane control arm bushings, Vulcan Drawstraw, BD X-monitor, and I forget what else sitting in my shop waiting to go on my truck, and a large order of Amsoil products that should arrive tomorrow. I don't have a delivery date yet from Genos for my trans filter, cab fresh filter, and fuel filters.

I need a LONG weekend! Did I forget to mention that I also need to change the brake fluid and service the brakes? And I have a similar list of stuff to do to the wife's Subaru.

I guess I better run to the store and stock up on Newcastle!

Guys I was at the Harley dealer today ordering some pistons and one of the parts guys had his 04 2500 at the dealer getting a new lift pump. The original lasted 123k, the new one was the tank mounted type and the bill was $604.00. Ouchhh

 

So did you tell him he could have easily put a Walbro on for a few hundred less and that it would last a lot longer and give him the fuel pressure he needs. Might have made him a bit mad though. Maybe you should casually show him to this site and tell him he's got lots of reading to do.

 

He very carefully wrote down the address but the damage was done. His wife had already picked up the truck, that's how he knew the cost. He didn't like the $604.00 bill but he was happy his wife had to write the check. LOL

What did Industial say about the problem you were having? Do thye seem to think you are on the right path?

Your gonna have as much HP with just the fuel system than anybody else in the group. If you dont hook that thing to the sled, your a fool. The trans, drivelines, and axles can take it I know, the clutch is the only thing to upgrade now and you will have yourself a heck of a pulling truck. If you do decide to upgrade the clutch, call ACC. They can get any clutch you want a heck of a lot cheaper than you can buy it over the net!!
