MX, jsut give me a call next time it happens. Your prolly only across town and I can run over and see what its doing. If it does turn out to be the VP I got all the tools needed to change it out in a couple hours. Don't take it to Bailey's or Fergusons, both are jokes.....

Let me second that. Both are not what youd call trustworthy and reliable.

Yea, that's one way to put it. The truck that was pulling under their name last year wanted me to do the work on their truck after only a little while of talking to them. I didn't even know Bailey's sponsored the truck. The best part I got out of it was when Bailey's head mechanic looked at me and said, and these are his exact words "We are going to build a 5000 rpm common rail for next year" I just sat there a nodded.... Needless to there is only a handful of guys that have the capabilities to do that and I know for a fact Bailey's doesn't have access to it so I'll just laugh. They offered me a job in which I never heard back from so who knows. Half tempting to build just a little backwoods shop to take care of those guys around here that get screwed over by them.

This has long since been a real good idea. I cant believe what springfield has to offer. Very sad. Too bad Northeast diesel never took to doin repair. The main guy has some knowledge but doesnt have time to do much.

Northeast doesn't do repairs? Wow, they are about the only company I trust around here.

If I could accomplish my goal that I have been trying to get the past 5 months opening a garage woudl be in the cards but I won't do it till then.

There are no good deisel mechanics around my area either thats why I take my truck up To Matt's (Top End Diesel) and have them do all my work. I had a local shop/buddy put my gauges in while I helped him. It took him 2 days and on the 2nd I came into help him to get it done faster. I put the boost gauge in why he did the pyro. Then he mounted the gauge pod up and said go to go. well needless to say my pyro doesn't work and the gauge pod fell out while Iw as driving the other day. Don't really know if it was his fault or a fualty desighned but I called him about 4 times and can't get ahold of him. He also charged another one of my friends 500dollars to get a fass system put on. Then a shop north of me was drilling a pyrometer tap and drilled through the top and bottom of the manifold?? When anybody ask me about a good diesel shop and they want more done then just programmers and chips I tell them it is worth the drive to go up to Hatton to Matt's.

Is there any shops that work on the semis that would work on our trucks? Maybe they would have a clue.
How do people that prove they can't get things done right stay in buisness?
I've seen it over and over, charge excesive amounts for poor service and people still go there?????

cause those people talk like they are the most knowledged people alive when it comes to the diesel world. when in actuality they are a bit clueless. sure they know how to put on a downloader or change a turbo, but can they actually tear down a motor and completely change the internals properly, or build a p-pump??? or even diagnose a problem and fix it. all it takes is someone with a smooth talk and they can sucker people in that are clueless.

I hear that I took my truck over 300 miles to have some of my work done. I'm not big on this, I'd rather I do the work myself. For one I could get what I wanted alot faster taking my truck on trip, 2 I dont have the time I work 5 days a week, and also do my own thing on the side for weekends. Also there are Some really great guys over in Kansas, beer drinking fools.
