Angry Well, I guess I'm taking a snow day.

Not because the roads are horrible or anything like that (heck I don't know how they are), but I'm one of those idiots that can't get out of their own driveway. I don't know how the roads are, they don't look horrible, but I certainly don't want to drive the Mustang on them with these 275s. Funny because I always made fun of people who said they were stuck in their own driveway, I thought it was BS. Well...now I know better.

I spent about 2 hours last night going to buy 2 new batteries for the truck and replacing them in the snow, so that I'd have something better to drive today. Last night all the snow under the vehicles melted and turned into ice. My driveway is on an incline, and also rolls off to the side there. Truck tires just sit there spinning. Tried old carpet, then some dry ramps but no go. Turned the truck sideways into the corner.

Got into the Mustang. Tires spun, and slid me right off the edge of that driveway there almost into the truck. I give up.

I need to get my driveshaft and shifter linkage repaired in my Dodge. Still haven't had a chance to fix it since it fell out because of hack-job repair in Hooks, TX.

No I don't have any of that sand/salt/kitty litter stuff but I need to go pick some up.

Too boot thats not even a real drive way thats a parking lot LOL both drive way to folks n mine are about 6miles of gravel following the creek and dad and I both got stuck last week when the wind drifted the road in a good 6ft of snow blowing across the prairie. Aint it fun to be stuck and not even went any ware.

Yes true, it is more of a parking lot than driveway; hey I need somewhere to put these 7 cars/trucks 6 feet of snow! I'm wayyyy jealous!

This was yesterday. Not pictured is the Bronco, another Mustang, and the GSX-R.

A handful of sand does the trick on ice. Or you may need the whole bag.

My son called me earlier and said that now he understands why I kept telling him to change out the drag radials on his Cobra - he never got out of the driveway either....

thats why i always back in you could have gained momentum coming from the garage and made it out the drive way. vehicles in reverse tend to do worse getting traction than vehicles going forward. i guess 6 years of attending college in vermont helped me learn all this

FINALLY got the truck out after about 4 hours this afternoon. I ended up having to steal 3/8" crushed gravel from my little driveway extension, about 30 gallons worth. For traction...

Darn woodchips, high-centered on the pumpkin.

Free woodchips. Had to do all kinds of raking.

FOUR HOURS LATER, finally got the truck backed out. "I'll fix that lawn in the spring." Couple feet at a time with the crushed gravel I got it out. I'm not parking there in the winter anymore. Good idea!

Poor little bush.

Kind of ran over a lawnmower too...must be what the Mustang is stuck on.
