Transmission Shop near Annapolis

My trans finally bit the dust. I believe I will purchase a Goerend, but need an installer nearer to Annapolis. (Goerend's closest referral is in Bel Air) My usual mechanic sells Suncoast which is too $$ for my budget. Any of you have a thought on an installer nearer to Annapolis who will install a Goerend and not try and push something else on me?
I am no where near qualified to do this job myself.
Thank you!

If you can get the truck to Kingsville, schedule a time with Scott and we can do it in the cave. It will only take 4 or 5 hours if it is a direct swap and all goes smoothly

My truck will still move. I just have a problem with 1st gear -- it slips terribly and works best if I shift in and out of 1st manually. Goerend is $3,550 plus shipping w/out the flex plate. Since I am going for longevity not high power I'm undecided on the flexplate. Thoughts?

Leonard,
Did you get your trans direct from HTS in the Midwest or did you get tit through one of the local HTS guys ( Westminster, Mechanicsville)
Wondering if they are just install guys or if they actually build the transmissions at their shops...
Also do you have a list of parts and prices? And how is it holding up after multiple pulls ans drag racing??? I need one that can hot rod during the week and pull my trailer in the mountains of Pa during the weekend and not get hot....

Thanks

Where's Kingsville? How far away from Annapolis? I have access to a trailer, but I would have to check with the owner. Mine is not heavy enough to load trucks on.

just mapquested it, about an hour and 40 minutes for me. Not sure when I could do it though. How soon would it have to be done?
