Hi guys
Sorry of being out of the loop.
I will make the Buck, Scott put me down for 2.

Been a rough year, lost my Mother-in -law in June then messed up my hand. below.....
So we were going to work in Cherokee for 2 weeks 7/12-7/26 as associate staff working with the teams that come down and Donna was helping in the kitchen? well.....
Thur 7/17
My 2 wk stay at Cherokee was cut short Tuesday 7/15.
I was working around camp as there were only 2 groups there, repairing the shed door that was broken into last March. I had removed the broken wood (circular saw) and was repairing the jamb and trim, ripping a 2x4 on the table saw, it started binding and I went to adjust the fence and don't know what happened but my left hand hit the blade, everything was still attached.
Mike took me to Cherokee Hospital, Donna followed. Doctor a great job cleaning and stitching it up; cut tendons on 2 fingers couple of fractures. To Carolina Hand Clinic in Asheville. They decided better to have surgery done in Baltimore for therapy here at Curtis Hand Clinic, Union Memorial Hospital. My boys came down to drive the truck, got home 6pm last night.
So my blood was spilled at Cherokee, hopefully next year will be better. I've been using power tools since 14!

update 7/21
My visit to the Curtis Hand Clinic this morning. The prayers of Gods people are answered!! NO SURGERY REQUIRED!! The tradeoffs for a full repair of 2 fractures and/or tendons of index finger would mean loss of function of the other joints while immobilized in a cast; if 1 finger fix it but all 4 no. The fractures are at the tips so like a toe, just fuse in place.
So i start 4-6 weeks of therapy 3x a week tomorrow, and have a small hand splint, stitches come out next week.

8/25
So the truck has been parked since 7/17, and on short term disability. Hopefully will be driving by the Buck then back to work. Start working on strength in therapy now.

Glad he's doing better. Surprising how long it takes to get back. Starting to go a little bit 'buggy'.

Tom,

Sorry to hear about the hand. I just suffered a similar fate; I severed 8 tendons and a nerve in my right hand. Where are going for physical therapy? Are you down to Union Memorial for it?

Thanks, Craig

Well i went ahead and reserved the usual 40 adults & 5 kids seats. I doubt it will happen due to the storm heading this way.

I'm still hoping it going to happen. I just found out that Harford county canceled all activities for sat evening. Usually they don't do that unless it is something bad. So who knows.
