MD Chapter #33 Never Ending Thread X
welp i figure i would pics of what i got done to the truck. Not much but it makes a difference

Its called a cobra stitch. In the handles and wheel there is about 80 feet of parachute cord.
O and on a big note.

Along with a few trans parts I think I may need some soon, When the truck is idling with the turbo timer it stumbles. I have read that this could be too much FP or the injectors. The FASS I got from TJ puts out 23 but sometimes will be fluctuating between 23 - 26, not steady.
Thanks to Sea:\>Drive for letting me borrow a metric tap after I started to cross thread a bolt in my head for the exhaust manifold. I ran the threads and made a slight change to my manifold and it went on like it was supposed to. Much better than fubaring the threads and then trying to drill, and tap, and put in a helicoil while the head is on the motor.
I just removed everything from my AC system except the evaporator in the dash. If you guys need any of the other stuff let me know, I'm gonna put it all in the classifieds.
I was looking at my dash pad last night and its horrible...im gonna have to cover it up with something.

Turned in my two weeks notice to Sears today. Could not be happier...
Well i just ordered almost all of the electric stuff for the Cave!
Now i need to dig a trench from the Cave to the house.
Was pretty cheap too $1250 for wire and box.
Much cheaper than the generator i almost bought.

Got the dash the other day - I'm gonna do the work at my house since I know where all the tools are. I've got one person helping me out later in the day (he has experience w/AC work). I'll be starting out when I get up (understand I do drink on Friday night) and working through until it is done. Anyone wants to stop by and lend a hand the fridge will be full of cold adult beverages. I doubt I'll be done as quick as Scott was with his - but I'll be taking my time since there is no rush (except being done by Sunday night so I can drive to work on Monday with the AC frigid!).
Anyone interested that doesn't know where I live - shoot me a PM and I'll send you my address in Middle River.
I've got:
New heater core, evaporator core, dash, liquid line w/orifice tube, accumalator, refrigerant, PAG 100 oil, o-ring kit, cap and pin kit (for the quick connects) and crap I forgot coolant - oh well it wouldn't be a normal job if I don't have to make at least one parts run!
New tools: manifold gauge set for R-134-a refrig - and the plastic disconnect tools for the A/C lines.

I hope to catch up with folks as the season gets into full swing.
Peace!!
All done, finally!
After a lot of work she is all done, new dash and a sealed, working A/C system too! Wow - lots of work but not hard to do. Just a lot of time involved. Scott didn't mention a lot of work goes into the HVAC box removal and heater core/evaporator core replacement - but nothing real difficult. I'm glad it is done now and working! Going to keep the carpet on this dash to try and prevent the damage in the future - but anyone thinking about this. Have a whole day ready and be prepared to be worn out once done! In the end though - all worth it! Thanks to Scott for his help via phone on my questions. Overall not terribly difficult - but lots of time involved.
