MD Chapter #33 Never Ending Thread X
Looks like an old RATT (radio and teletype) rig the Army used. They have steps inside of them (fold out). Used to ride one around in a CUCV (chevy 3/4 ton w/diesel) in the late 80s. Nice find. Probably close to a camper in weight but it is probably empty.

Well after about a year and half of looking i got a cover for my 35/40 turbo.
Needs a little cleaning up, then i can get it on and Keith can get the HX35 on his truck.
The HX35 needs a rebuild kit, i'll get one off Fleabay.

Yup its a S-250 Military Communication Shelter. Its aluminum and weight in stripped of the military stuff at 700lbs. Almost 6 foot tall inside and will fit a queen size bed. I picked it from that dude on craigslist that always sells military stuff up in PA. Its has fresh paint inside and out, framed for a twin size bed inside, new window in the front and a/c brackets. paid $700 for it. Cheapest I've found them were $850 with all the communication crap still insde.
Just need to figure out the install/removal process and the mounting setup!
I'll get some more pics up soon.

Let me know any help you need on this Scott or when you ready. No rush with my IP in the crapper right now, I can't even blow smoke on 5x5! Just waiting for the tax man to give me my refund!
I do have a winch, but that wont work. It would have to be insanly long to reach the middle of the camper thingy.
My two thoughts were to build...
Gantry/A-frame setup - 4x4 Uprights, 2x4 braces to the ground. and unsure on crossbeam material. perfer wood over steel.
Table - Build a table the same hieght as the bed of the truck, concrete it in the ground. Use a come along to pull it out of the bed onto the table and use my spare ATV winch to pull it back in the bed. Have the ATV winch bed mounted of course.
