Anyone in a 3rd Gen coming down 83 this evening? Silver, looked like a 4" chrome tip? Got off at the MD Line Exit?

I can check with a few people. My former son in law and my god son's father are electricians. Former son in law's father owns the his own company. Not sure what they have access to but I am sure they can point in the right direction.

I have conduit to run it under ground. So anyone get me a price yet. Lou said I should use the aluminum conductor, since it's cheaper than copper.
I really want to get this done.

Do you know how you are wiring it? I wired my garage with 2/0 aluminum 100 amp service and ran the ground into the ground by the box in the garage. It eliminated running 140ft back to the panel in the house to acheive the same thing (grounding the box). My brother is an electrician and can do the wiring, he also has a book with a chart that tells you what gauge of what material (alum or copper) for what current and what distance you are running. Aluminum is cheaper but you need bigger gauge aluminum for the same current copper can do at a thinner gauge. All I need is a date, trencher, and brew and you can consider the conduit done; you do alot for us so im glad to return the favor.

Thanks Eric i can use all the help i can get. I'm not an electrician, just know enough to not get electrocuted.
Guesstimate is 400'-450' panel to disconnect, 200Amp service 220V single phase. I could be wrong, most probably am but was told I need 4/0 gauge. See if your bro can get a price for what ever wire i need and if that's the correct size.

do you have 200 amp service in your house yet? I can figure out what size alum or copper wire you would need for that run tommorow night and you can see which would be the best for cost effectiveness. Im not sure if he has a connection for wholesale wire but I will ask.
