750-800 miles per tank on factory tank that's excellent!...how many mpg do you normally get (hand calculated)?

Even when I fill up it's only like 28 gal and not 35 like the tank is supposed to hold. Last night I filled up and hand calculated I got 426.1 miles to 20.55 gal which is 20.73 mpg...I filled up with a 1/4 tank remaining as indicated by my fuel gauge. This was mixed hwy and around town with stock wheels/tires...had smarty at L3 for about 240 of those miles and L9 for the remaining 186 miles.

since i dont have a fuel level gauge its all by when the pump stops first. last i filled up it was 23 mpg and that was with no boost gauge. so i kept boost below 10 psi all the time and slow shifting, minus some hotrodding on fat tuesdy up here in phiily and i got 730 on the gauge now. im going to fill up in jersey where it $3.00 a gal. ill post what i got

Cool

Found this on racing junk: http://www.racingjunk.com/post/1032455

There is a video of it doing a burn out. Sounds like a jet spooling up, even a little afterburrner in the tailpipe.

That should work, syn can handle the colder temps much better then dyno-oil.

Thats it, we still had 3k before you were even at the GVW then. I still got more rocks, give me a call and we should be able to load more this week if you want, not tonight though, I am on my way home for the day today.

They are different, the 01 is a second gen and the 05 is a third gen. As far as I know nothing will interchange between the two of them.

Truck ran fine on the way home tonight. No noise. I'm still gonna change the fluid when the Cave is available.

Scott, you know i couldnt own a "built" truck, it would be the same. soo im filling up and the fuel gauge starts reading almost a 1/4 than starts jumping than drops off, got my hopes up. could it be 13 years of junk or is something broke. the good thing is i had only put 10 gals in it and it was reading a 1/4. the pumped stopped a 28 gals, then i put 3 more in to reach almost all the way the filler neck. 688/28 24.5mpg
