Ain't no way my ol D350 is going to get TOM, especially without all the go fast mods and a cracked grille. Too plain jane, too unmodified, etc.

Now, if you go ask some of the cattle ranchers and ropers around here, they may give you a different point of view. I can't drive to town without giving at least one ol boy whiplash.

Well they have some taste...

Nothing wrong with the ole girl, she looks plenty good, especially since the new paint job.

'Preciate it Blake. I do like the 'ol gal even is she's missing a front differential. Got a buddy that bought an '07 and has just over 30k on it and it's been in the shop no less than a dozen times...2 turbos, couple of DPFs, new A/C condenser, and constant check engine lights. In the 30k I've had my '93 I've replaced an alternator, 2 oil pressure senders, and had the rear axle rebuilt, and 2 new front tires.

Nah. He's a lineman for DEMCO and runs a few hundred head of cattle. He's technologically challenged. Told him about getting the delete kit but he bought the extended warranty and is hesitant to get the delete because he doesn't want Dodge to void the warranty.

10-4...can you get them for a reasonable price? I'm going to see him in the morning and I'll mention it to him again. He's thought about just the tuner to start and he's also looked at the complete system with the straight pipe.

Keeping it simple:

Smarty Jr - 495

Delete pipe - 215

Edge Insight for monitoring - 400

Now the edge is kinda optional. You know how important gauges are, but if he keeps it on the low tunes and drives like an old man he would be ok...

Now that pipe is just to delete the DPF and the NOx, if he wants turbo back to kill the Cat too its not that much more. Maybe 350 for the exhaust kit.

OK. I'm pretty sure he's just interested in deleting the DPF and getting a truck that runs good and gets reasonable fuel mileage. He told me he's never seen over 16 and about 9 with the cattle trailer loaded.

Well just for warn him, he aint gonna see what you make. But he should see a gain of a couple unloaded, and maybe one loaded. The 6.7 (any common rail for that matter) gets thirsty towing. Plenty of go, but thirsty.

Really?? We have an '08 at work that's averaging about 15 including a lot of towing. It's a 2wd QC with a flatbed. My buddy's truck is a 4x4 2500 QC SWB. It's interesting that all the common rail trucks get such **** poor mileage. My '01 Duramax 4x4 2500HD got 18-19 on the interstate at 75ish.

It varies from user to user and load to load, but i guarantee, load up a 36fter with 20 or so head and give it heck with the skinny pedal and it wont be pretty.
