Red face Oh Well, one more new guy

Guess it is about time to say something. The first thought that comes to mind is that it is best to be silent and thought a fool than to speak up and remove all doubt! I have been like many others, reading for a couple of months and trying to figure out how to take care of my truck and what to do to it to make it look like I want it to and not sacrifice too much dependability. This is my first Dodge Truck. I got the wild hair to have a 4 WD mostly for how good you can make them look, and without any doubt I got the best. It drives so good, remarkable torque, its almost as good as, well, you know. My plan is a Carli 2.0 performance package, Walker Evans Rims, 17s W/35s ? Pocket Flares if needed, (want a little wider looking stance than stock if possible w/out killing front end) SRT hood, and more stuff no doubt as i find it. Ready to get going on this just not sure about rims (width & backspacing/offset) and size of tires can get by with. Any advice from some of you veteran 4x4 CTDers would be tremendously appreciated. In closing I must say the passion for these trucks displayed by the members on here and the mind-numbing amount of knowledge and experience here is well, WOW. I am proud to be a member. My handle is JohnBoy, am an underground coal miner from So. Illinois (35 years in the Industry and 10 to go) Anyone from the area, Carbondale, Mt.vernon, DuQuoin, Benton, drop a line . Thanks for listening.

Welcome to the DTR, JohnBoy!

35's are no problem with a 2" lift.

Wheel backspacing depends on how much you like your wheels and tires to stick out.

Try looking at 4.25-5.71"s of BS.

Welcome to the DTR. I have 35's on stock rims, they rub a little at full lock.

Post this stuff up in the off road section or the applicible 3rd gen section, you'll probably get some better info.
