Noob from N. Texas

Howdy all, just droppin in to say hello.
I'm fairly new to diesel truck ownership, had mine for about a year and a half now. It's a 93 Dodge D250 LE extended cab w/187,000 on the clock,1 owner!
It's got a few problems, nothing too major.I had the TPS replaced, trans kept dropping out of OD.And I'm in the process of rebuilding the front end suspension, eatin tires like candy lol.
I do have one problem with it that I can't seem to find the answer to after much reading and searching the forums.I think I need to rebuild my vacuum pump and I can't find the how-to.My brake and abs lights stay on all the time and the pedal is STIFF! Had a mechanic check the vacuum on it and he told me it was only reading 5 in. now I know that can't be right .So if someone could point me in the direction I would greatly appreciate it.
I am impressed with the knowledge and passion for these trucks I am reading about here.I love mine! It's a tank! I have pulled close to 25,000# truck, trailer and load,WOW! Couldn't do that with a gas truck! And I did it with the brake problem, lol.
I'm also looking to start upping the power soon with great anticipation,(drool). So I'll be doing a lot of research on these forums.Just wondering where to start.
Anyway thanks for having me and I look forward to getting to know you all.

You should try posting your question in the 1st gen forums. You will probably get some good info there.
