New owner in N. Texas

I just recently purchased a 2007 Dodge Mega cab 2500 with 1500 miles. This is the first diesel I've purchased. Are there any common problems that I need to be aware of? And if so, what are some remedies. The truck is a regency badlander conversion with 8" lift and 35" tires. It has the 6.7 cummins in it. What are the recommended fluids for the truck? Thanks in advance for the info and I hope to become a lifetime cummins owner.

I will add some pics of the truck

Welcome!

Where in N. Tx?
We have a fun DTR Chapter (#8) that is quite active north of the metroplex - we get together at least once a month (more if you count throwing each other's bail ).

p.s. what fluids were you asking about?

I live about 30 miles south of Ft. Worth.
The main fluid is what kind of engine oil and oil filter are best.

The Fleetguard StratoPore oil filter is excellent, and there's lots of opinions about the best brand of oil... you could view some of the "oil wars" threads for more info.

Welcome aboard! Ditto on DTR Chapter #8. I finally met a few guys last month and enjoyed my visit with them. Join us once, and you'll learn just about all you'll need to know about your rig, and then some. As far as oil, stay with the recommended service intervals, dependent on your driving habits, and forget about it. I get my 15w-40 oil and Mopar filter at Wal-Mart. Enjoy your new truck. I'm on my third diesel, and wouldn't have it any other way.
