Hello. Im not sure where to post these questions.
1st. can I get rid of the Smiles to the right, kind of annoying?
Im not a mechanic by any means. Brakes, filters, oil changes, front end work is what have done. When it comes to the engine I have used a couple of guys.

2000, 2500, Extend a cab, 4x4, Automatic, 24 valve Cummings.

My block Heater Ohms through but seams to be not heating. Is there any other test, or just replace it.

I read that the water pump is easy to change, 2 bolts. Is it the idler pulley?
Or connected to the fan like old trucks?

High Idle issue. It can be 40 degrees or 75 Degrees and it will start with an 1100 rpm. I can drive it 5 miles, let the temp come up to 165 +, pull over, shut if off, turn the key and let the temp gauge come up and the restart and it will start at 850 - 900 rpm. I can drive another ten miles, let it set for an hr or 2 and the high idle is back. repeat the above steps.
