Hi from upstate NY
Hello everyone from upstate NY (near Rochester). Just found out about this site a couple days ago. Looks like a lot of good info here which I need as I ponder a CTD to replace my 04 1500 Hemi QC. Had a 98 1500 QC before that. This will be no shock to anyone here, but the Hemi is a total gas pig and it does just so-so pulling around my trailer and compact backhoe.
After checking the prices of new CTD's (and almost having a seizure) I've decided used might be the only way to go. It won't be a daily driver so nicely broken in (100K+ miles) should be fine if I can find a nice southern one in good shape.
I'm used to taking care of the little Yanmar diesels in my JD tractors, but I know I have many things to learn about the Cummins. I also need to sort out the pros/cons of the different gens of the engines and trucks.
Well, thats all for now.

When i was looking for mine there were several dodge diesels on dallas craigs list for resonable prices. you dont have to worry about rust .just us rednecks beating the **** out of them and telling you there cream puffs.
