Hello From Indiana

Hey guys...new to the Cummins world. Used to be a GM/Chevy guy, but a good man turned me on to the world of Cummins. So here I am looking for my very first Cummins. Looking for a 98.5 24V 2500 Ext Cab/Quad Cab Short bed. Any help is appreciated...located in Lafayette, IN

Thanks,
JD

Welcome to the site. I have a 98 24v and love it. If I had to do it again I would get a stick shift though. If you find a truck you like slide under the front drivers side and look on the block, just above the oil pan right under the injector pump, for the number "53". If you see this it would be wise to stay away as those blocks have had problems cracking because the casting is thinner than most blocks. Good luck with the search.
