Question Hello DTR

Looking forward to owning my first Dodge I have a 93 Reg/Longbox to testdrive right now for a few days and like the engine, need an extracab shortbox though. Howmany km/tank or miles/tank do you guys get on these 1st Gen Monsters?

Welcome to DTR. This is "THE" best place to find out all of the info you'll need on your CTD. I don't think you'll find an "extracab shortbed" in a 1st Gen though. I don't think Dodge built an "extracab shortbed" intill the 2nd Gens. I might be wrong though.

Welcome to DTR!!

As was said the "1st Genners" are lumped into the 89-93 truck years (Had both of those on either end) and yes, it wasn't until the 1998 production year did you get a shortbox/quadcab combo.. The extended cabs were also NOT available 89,90,91 and 94 up to 95 in Gen 2.

timberfalls:

I had a 1992 Dodge CTD, 4X4, Single Cab, LB, Auto and that truck got consistent 18-19 MPG in town and 20-22 MPG on the highway.

We have a '93 clubcab 2 wd 5 spd here at work that gets 21-22 mpg. Our '99 3500 2 wd auto service truck (which weighs 10,000lbs daily) gets 19-20 mpg. My '00 2500 qb 4x4 auto w/ 35's can get 18 mpg. But I don't always have the most economic driving habits, so I usually hit 16.5 to 17 mpg.
