Hi all, new guy from Colorado here.

I recently traded my 2003 Chevy / Duramax in for a 2006 Dodge / Cummins. I liked the Duramax a lot, but it was a standard cab “work truck”, and I was looking for something a little nicer.

My 06 Ram is a quad cab and has the “Big Horn” package. The truck has 60K on it, and it has an Edge unit with the Attitude module, otherwise, it is all stock.

What are your thoughts on the Cummins after driving the Duramax beforehand?

 

Well, the Durmax felt like it had more power (but the Edge on the Cummins helps!).

The Cummins is not as loud.

The Duramax got a lot better mileage.

I haven't pulled with the Dodge yet, so not sure about that.

I do like the truck, it is a lot nicer that my Chevy was. Overall, I think it drives better too.

Wait until you tow with the Cummins.
