Hello To All!!!!

I Guess I Will Start By Saying I Am A Proud Owner Of A 1998 Dodge 3500 Diesel 24 Valve. But, I Have A Slight Problem. I Need Info. To Locate Throttle Position Sensor. A Diagram Would Be Super, But Would Greatly Appreciate Any Info. If Anyone Can Help. Thanks, Chief_yollie!!

Hello Chief, Welcome to DTR. 24 valves have an APPS, Accelerator Peddle Position Sensor. With the hood up, standing in front of the front bumper, you'll see the air intake horn on the right side (drivers side) of the motor. Just below the air intake horn you'll see a black cover; it'll be kinda round toward the front and flattens out as it goes back under the air intake horn. The APPS is in that black cover.

Thanks for the info.!! I am offshore at the moment, just trying to find out as much info. as I can. Ever since I bought the truck (2004), the rpm's jump at a steady speed, no matter how fast you are going. Been trying to solve the problem but, no luck yet. Transmission was checked & serviced, everything turned out O.K. Once again, I appreciate the info. CHIEF YOLLIE
