Home built bumper total cost 150$

So I built a bumper, I framed it with 1 1/4 tubing so I could get the shapes I needed, then I bought a 1/2 sheet (4x4) of 11gauge plate. took the plate to a metal shop and had them cut out the shapes that I had marked out

4-50watt spot lights 12$ (on sale at Princess Auto)
24ft of square stock 29$
4x4 sheet of 11gauge 50$
Fee for cutting metal 40$
20 for matched red spray paint

time spent was about 4 days, of that 90% was spent planning and adjusting angles to get what I had in my head onto metal, all in all I'm very happy with it

Thanks... its not built to be much stronger than the stock bumper, as I used the factory brackets, and built off of them, although it might withstand a hit better than the stocker

That is a great job! Looks like it cost 10x that amount. I imagine it's at least as strong as the stocker and that's fine. I'd be proud of that!

But you said "matched red spray paint"... where is that?

I'd pay $350 for one easy ! Outstanding. Refine your work as you go, you just started a business. Once you get your panels perfect, have them laser cut then assemble, nice and clean.
