Wiring Nightmare!!!

As I'm driving home tonight I have heater on defrost, wipers on, lights on, and go to turn my left turn signal on and the signal just goes nuts.....it flashes really quick, the not at all and then it just stays on. Park the truck tonight, turn it off and get out. walk behind her and see that the brake lights are stuck on!!!! What the heck? So.....any ideas on what it is.

I got the lights to turn off by taking out the fuse (underhood / not the relay) that is marked 40A trailer. Everything else works now, stop, turn, tail etc. and the lights are off. If i replace the fuse, lights go back on

The really weird thing is that my little brother's '95 grand cherokee does the same thing, left signal stays on and everything!

WHAT IS GOING ON?!?!?!

sorry for such a long post.

Check your trailer plug by the rear hitch. You may have a bunch of corrosion built up in the plug, or in the wiring behind the plug that is causing a short between the pins allowing the +12V from the aux pin to feed into the other circuits.

Most probably it has something to do with the wiring...check it out very keenly!

we just got a bunch of snow, so I could definetly see that. Maybe some water got in there and there is a short or arch happening.
