is my ip shot or ecm bad if codereader cant communicate ?

1689: no communication between the ECM and injection pump module[yuk] replace injection pump and you are good to go[coffee] 1688 should be there also.....

This may or may not be your problem but...............

I also had no comm bet. ecm and ip with a bad edge ez. I removed the ez and sent it to be checked and it was shot. I never had to replace the ip.

thank you guys i will see if the pumpis still under warranty. the owner is going to quit using his french fry oil based diesel in this truck
