Water in fuel from texaco in mesquite,tx.

Well it has finally happened. Last night I take on fuel at this little crappy stop and rob on Kearney St. in Mesquite, tx and go back over to my friends house for a few hours. When I try and leave, the truck started, ran for 5 sec, then started missing and quit, I then got a WIF light. I tried to restart twice before I opened the hood and drained the canister. It had been raining heavily, so the ground was wet. It didn't look like petroleum has coming out of the drain. It looked like soapy water. I bumped the starter 10-15 times to run the fuel pump, then I closed the drain and bumped twice more to fill the canister back up. It took about 25 sec of cranking before it finally tried to fire. I drove a few miles then the WIF light came back on. The engine was running ok so I pressed on and made it to Dallas where I pulled off and opened the drain while the engine was in high idle. I purged for a few min, then continued to lewisville where I pulled over and opened it up again. The engine was still running at this time. Once in Lewisville I stopped at Orieley and picked up 3 bottles of HEET. I dumped 2 bottles in the tank, (down to 3/4 tank by now). and by the time I made it home here in Flower Mound, the WIF light had gone off. I know that water sinks to the bottom of the tank. Whats the chance that I got it all out? I really really want to pump all this crap fuel out of my tank and start fresh.

Any suggestions?

I WILL be replacing the filter as soon as this craptastic fuel is gone.

Take a fuel sample for evidence to help future action.
You did get a receipt when you got fuel from there, right?

ALWAYS get a receipt when purchasing fuel

If so, show them the receipt, and the sample, get them to test their tanks for water, and see where it goes.
Hopefully legal asistance won't be needed.

Hate to say it, but I would get that fuel out now.

No need to have it tested. It's painfully obvious. Here is what I got from the filter. http://jay.unixwolf.net/images/bad fuel sample-2.jpg
