Stuck throttle problem

On my way to school last night my pedal stuck to the floor and I couldn't get my truck stopped. When I pull the whole throttle assembly back by hand with the vehicle off to full throttle position it sticks like there is no spring tension pulling it back to idle position. This problem is on a 1994 12v diesel with p7100 injection pump.

Thanks in advance,

Maybe the return springs fell off.
There are two, one inside the other, that run between the power steering pump and the linkage.
Generic springs from an autoparts or hardware store will work.
