Be thankful it's giving you back the CD. Mine would not eject. Sounds like it's time for a different player. If you want stock check E-bay for Dodge/Chrysler players. Most years interchangeable but should always double check. You should easily find an AM/FM/Cassette/CD for around $180 - 250. Don't even ask the dealers - $600 for a new one.

I bought a Pioneer that fits the Chrysler and GM vehicle dash's from Crutchfield . I am very pleased as I got the CD player for around $275 with the install kit including harness attachment to wire directly to the factory harness and installation instructions for your year model vehicle.

I also purchased a Pioneer and installed myself for about $225. Will probably last longer and I think is a better radio.

I had my wife's combo tape/cd player apart and fixed it. The first time was a broken wire on the drive motor, and the second was a bad solder joint at the door switch. Has been fine for over a year now.

Opening cd player

How difficult was it to open up your cd/cass. player? Are there any tricks to it? Do I have to watch out for any thing? Thanks.

What year is your truck?

Do you have the 6-disc player?

If it is the 6-disc player, and if I'm not mistaken, you have to choose an open slot before inserting the disc.

It was easy getting it open, but be cautious of the wires that attach the top and bottom. I remember something about having to work on it with all the sides still attached by the wiring. Just be carefull and have a good look around in there, you might see whats giving you grief. Good luck.

I might be looking for a combo Infinity tape/cd with the remote steering wheel controls if anyone wants to part with one for a decent price.
