Rubber fuel line on a 94

I am going to replace my rubber fuel lines. But how do i get to the return line where it meets the metal line?

I was also thinking of plumbing new hard lines and having a small 4 inch section of rubber line to connect to the metal lines where it would be more accessible. Does anyone see a issue with this?

Getting to the end of the hose closest to the injection pump is easy, just remove the fuel filter.
The end on top of the bell housing is the hard part and one reason why I now abandon that part of the fuel lines and run hose all the way to the tank.
The other reason is the metal line on top of the bell housing has a tendency to crack.

FYI I hope you understand that most part stores do not sell the correct fuel lines for that truck. You have to go to a hydrolic fuel line place to get them. The suction from the pump is so strong that it wil compress the lines. I got mine at cedrones in Quincy MA

How many feet of line will you need to buy? I'm planning on changing mine this weekend. By the way West Coast, is your truck still idling rough?

fuel line

I purchased the Diesel fuel line from Napa. Same line that my local Rocky Mountain Cummings shop purchases ( They are right next door to Napa). I have about 5.5 feet of both 3/8 and 5/16 hose. I also have 25 feet of 3/8 and 5/16 alimnum hard line. I am going to make up hard line so I only have a few inches of rubber line.

And yes my truck is still running rough......

If the fuel lines do not help my trucks condition. It must be the Injection Pump. No biggie, time for a one bad a$$ IP!!!!
