"rubber" fuel line sae j30r7 vs 30r7 any difference?

I noticed the sae j30r7 on the original hoses at the lift pump and return line. I got some hose from napa that just has sae 30r7. Any diff or is it OK to use for diesel??

It might work, or it might not
"Gasoline and Vapor Emission Hose manufactured to meet SAE 30R7 specifications. Durable cover resists deterioration from oil, grease, heat and ozone, and gives long service life."
