Rear brake help--04 dually

I searched for an answer to this question, but couldn't fing a solid answer. Can someone tell me how to get the rear rotors off an 2004 dually? Does the axle need to be pulled?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, you pull the axles, remove the outside wheel bearings and pull the hub and disk as an assembly. I do not recall if the American Axle requires a special socket to depress the locks so the bearing nut can be removed, but nearly everyone does now days.

The rotor can be pressed off the hub with a decent 20 ton press if need be, but if you are going to have them resurfaced, the shop will want the entire assembly with the inside bearing cups so they have a center from which to true and turn the rotor.
