power loss- bad programmer?
power loss- bad programmer?
I have had intermittent losses of power, when passing or towing. now the problem seems to be permanent. it feels like the engine may be defueling, but I have an Edge ez installed with j hook on the turbo. Also the problem is only apparent above 19 psi boost. fuel gauge reads a fairly constant 14psi ( holley blue). Do I have a serious problem or has my Edge EZ just let me down?
2001 ctd automatic 200,000 miles, 1/2 inch fuel lines, suncoast trans and converter, 10 qt pan. Also Edge has been installed for about 3 years.

Probably the only way you can find out is to remove the Edge and see what happens. Usually a process of elimaniation is the easiest course to take and if you have a power adder on then take it off and see if the truck runs Ok without. If it does run better with it off then it's time to call Edge and see what they suggest.
I took the edge apart and moved the power setting to the second power level. I don't know for sure the problem is cured but I took a 250 mile trip and the truck ran perfectly and got a little better mileage than usual.
