Power Edge and Check engine light

00' 3500 Ram 4X4, 4 inch straight pipe, AFE filter, Power Edge, DTT Tranny guts and pan. Only 80K on the truck

Check engine light is on and sometimes the thing misses. Took it to a buddy who has a service station with a Sun Scanner but it won't scan through the Edge. Edge docs I have said that the MAP wire might be loose. Checked that and it appears to be fine.

Is there an Edge scanner out there? I think mine is an older modle with the five levels. Or is my MAP bad?

Don't want to hurt the truck but I gotta still drive it.

Help Please!!

Ding

I would take the edge off and send it to them so they can test it. Go to autozone and see if they can pull the codes with their reader.

Alright another Wyoming member.
What's that resturant where you make the 90 deg turn...... GOOD FOOD! Been a while since I've passed thru or stopped in Dubois.

Well if you are talking about the Ramshorn it has been awhile since you were here cause it is closed down. Or maybe your thinking of the Rustic Pine but it is down the street a building or two.

I am opening a custom Motorcycle shop and Machine shop just around the block from that corner. Don't know alot about all the attachments that go on these new fangled engines, and this is my first diesel....bring me a block or a Harley and I'll fix er up but that is it. Machinist not Mechanic..lol

Ramshorn is it, I think. Since there is no Autozone in Dubois I don't know what to tell you. Any ODB2 scanner should work unless you get the companion code then a dealer must read them.

My ez was acting the same way and I sent to edge for them to check. Came back that the map part of the circuit board had failed. Might have to plan a trip to Riverton.
