now what
now what
Okay guys I just changed out the vp 44 and now my truck won't start. It just keeps turning over and won't fire any ideas? It did coughed a few times I have a 2001 ram 3/4 ton 24 valve diesel.
to bleed them ,loosen the first three slightly (the ones that are easy to get at) and crank engine until fuel comes out, tighten them and start engine...... it will run rough for a while but will smooth out as soon as all the air is purged
Even with 2 lines getting fuel sometimes you'll be lucky and the engine will fire and begin to run.
Good Luck, by the way; is your fuel pressure good, feeding the VP?
I find holding the throttle down about an inch helps out alot. Just until it starts then let it idle.
Like everyone else said, you will need to bleed the injector lines to get all the air out before it will start.
