IM trying to update my smarty and i keep getting that the file isnot a smarty file what the EDIT

 

You might have already tried but here's a suggestion. Restart the computer. It's the first thing I do when something happens that shouldn't happen. Every once in a while when I hook my phone to the computer it won't recognize it, restart and its cured.

 

Just out on a limb here. Did you extract the file after you downloaded it? The files on the website are compressed and require a utility (also on the website) to extract them. The copy you download has a .7z extension and the Smarty file will have a .smt extension (I think).
