No Power? Low Boost?

Ok Guy's here's the story I did a little work on the truck and power washed the engine in areas that were grimy (around the timing case ) anyway I drove to work the next day and I was way down on power and the pyro was telling me that Iwas running very hot with very little effort and smoke seemed above normal. I have been planning on getting a boost gauge but don't have one as yet. I checked and cleaned the filter and visually inspected the intercooler rubbers and the boost line to the waste gate and all seems Ok,any ideas I'm missing my power already .

Check all of your electrical plugs. Maybe water inside one of them. Clean with electrical cleaner or starting fluid (ether) and pack with dia-electric grease.

You can try cleaning your map sensor (Boost sensor) I have a Amzoil filter which is similar to the K&N in that you inpregnate it with oil. too much oil in the filter and it will get drawn in by the turbo and a coating will cover your sensor. No codes will appear; I didn't clean mine I bought a new one and it fixed the problem.
