I already posted this in another forum, but thought someone might catch it here also,

I'm installing a SB Con-Fe along with my 6spd. transmission & I need a starter ring??? not even sure what it is, but apparently I need one, & the place where I was ordering the clutch doesn't have any, I need this thing if at all possible by tomorrow so I can get the tranny up & going, any ideas???? thanks, Dusty

 

What tells you you need one ? Is the old one bad , changing the flywheel, thats the gear that goes around the flywheel that the starter turns eng. with.
If you do need one try Napa , other pro parts house , lastly the dealer.

 

well turns out I bought a Dual Disk south bend & the 6spd. tranny already has it ( said it was a spacer ???) so I guess we'll see in a few hours, thanks, Dusty

 

Shouldn't need anything different for the starter or anything for the engine (other than a new flywheel for the clutch, of course) to swap in a NV5600!
