More ABS/Brake Light Stuff

My friend is driving home, ABS and Brake light come on. Difference is than with some other threads is the ABS is definitely making a buzzing noise. So we unplug it, and that obviously stops the noise. I think it's partially the ABS gone bad? so by unplugging it that just means no ABS correct?

Don't know if it has 4wheel ABS. (How do you know?)
No leaks, drips or error codes.
Good pedal feel/ Fluid level good.
Will check fuses next, and continue to use the search feature, he's moving and we're all trying to help.

Any advise, should the brakes still be safe, (I know the ABS isn't mandatory) Thanks

I can only answer a couple of your questions. The brakes should work fine , but he won't have any ABS benifit. You can check the front axle and see if there are any wires running to sensors at the wheels. If no, then you don't have 4 wheel ABS. Did you try plugging the unit back in?

fschiola, I believe it's 4 wheel ABS, i see the wires running to the front wheels. Yeah, we plugged it (ABS) back in with the truck ignition in the on position, and it's loud and making that buzzing sound. Thanks.
