Mixing oils.

I just purchased a 93 dually 4x4 and need to get it home tonight. The owner passed away and his wife is selling it. it will need a gallon or so of oil for the trip home, 80 miles. His wife thinks he was running synthitic of some sort. is it safe to top it off with Delo 15/40 or are they non compatable typically? Also the check engine light goes on and off and has for some time. she said he would pop the hood and wiggle something and it would go out. Anything to worry about? 93s arent computer controlled are they? my 93 2wd is not.
Thanks in advance.

It sounds like it might just be some wires wiggling lose. As far as the oil, where is it on the dipstick? If it is just at the bottom of add I wouldn't worry about it to just drive home, these trucks have alot of oil in them. Just my 2 cents worth though

Dino and synthetic oils can be mixed without any problems.
