In Mexico, engine lite on, P0148 odometer readout

Anybody can tell me what the meaning of a code P0148, on my odometer readout when I click the key. 2003 Dodge 3500, 4x4, automatic.

I am in Mazatlan Mexico, and need to know what's up, before I leave the city and go where I might not get parts or any help.

P0148 is set when there is a difference between the fuel pressure set point commanded by the pcm and actual fuel pressure. I'm not sure on how much it takes, but I have seen the code tripped when you can't even really tell the truck isn't running 100%.

This is what I found in a search.
Sound like it could be a fuel filter fix.
I was in Mazatlan just 2 weeks ago!! Love it.
Good Luck.

I didn't notice anything happening, maybe a little hesitation stepping on the pedal from a stop. Always travel with spares, so I'll change the fuel filter.
Will the engine lite turn off if this fixes it?

From what I know, yes it will, maybe not right away but it should go out.

Thanks for the help, Mazatlan is a nice place, we are actually on our sailboat and have followed it with the truck from San Diego. Hopefully heading to Puerto Vallarta soon.... I just replaced the alternator and re-wired the lift pump on my boat motor, so now it's time for the truck to act up!!!

You must have some big tires to get that truck to float like a boat...
