Left Trailer Light Not Getting Power

I posted this before in another and did not get a sure answer. I've got an 03 3500 dually, four door. I have this issue with my trailer plug on the back bumper not getting power, which in turn means I have no turn signals or brake lights on the left tail light of the trailer. I took it to my dealer and with some testing, they believe it is the Intergrated Power Module, which they explained it as being on the underside of the fuse box. They said what probably happen was I was pulling a trailer one day and is caused it to short out and the fuse did not catch it. Has anyone has any problems like this. PLEASE HELP, I have to pull a trailer this weekend and don't feel like getting pulled over.

I am not sure on your 03 but my 06 the module needs to be replaced if it gets blown. It is somewhere aroud $150. On mine it is by the main fuse box. I can't find the diagram otherwise I would post it for you. Make sure you find the short in the trailer.

Well, I talked to my brother and his problem is with the right side. Could this still be an intergrated power module problem?

That I know of it is called an IPM. There is no fusing other than the IPM blowing. It must be pretty strong becasue last summer I kept blowing my running lights on the boat trailer. It was getting dark and had to go 3 hours to home. I was lucky because the trailer has an internal fuse. It had a 20 amp fuse and would keep on loosing running lights after a few miles. After the 2nd or third 3rd time of stopping, replacing the fuse and wiggling wires & lights I tried shaking the stupid license plate light and BINGO, that was it. I cut the wire to the plate light and went home. But my IPM did not blow with downstream fuses @20 amps going. Some sya it's a $400 part....ouch.
